Alexx Ekubo, Nigerian actor and model, has announced the dates for his traditional and church weddings.
Ekubo had earlier engaged Fancy Acholonu, his longtime girlfriend, in Los Angeles, United States of America.
In a post via his Instagram page on Monday, the movie star revealed that they would be staging their traditional wedding ceremony on November 20, 2021, while the white wedding would follow one week after on November 27.
Acholonu is a model and actress born in Los Angeles to Nigerian parents. She is credited as having inspired several business brands like ‘The Fancy Kidz’, an establishment that puts together modelling and acting classes for kids.
Ekubo has, in turn, established himself in the movie scene since his debut in ‘Sinners in the House’, a 2005 film.
In 2019, the 35-year-old actor made the headlines after he stated that Nigerians should tolerate those who want to be homosexuals. He added that people should be allowed to be “free and comfortable with their sexual preference.”
“Learn to live and let live. If a person wants to be gay, let them gay in peace, personally I’m not, have never been, & will never be,” he had said.
“Let’s allow people to be free and comfortable with their sexual preference, stop the name-calling & shaming.”
