Betty Anyanwu-Akeredolu, the wife of Rotimi Akeredolu, Ondo state governor, has gushed over photos of Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala with US President Joe Biden.
On Sunday, Okonjo-Iweala took to X to share photos of herself and the US president on the sidelines of the G20 summit in New Delhi, India.
In the post, Biden could be seen taking selfies with Okonjo-Iweala who is the director-general of the World Trade Organisation (WTO).
Biden also took photos of Okonjo-Iweala as she posed with some members of her team and Jake Sullivan, national security advisor to the US president.
Okonjo-Iweala described the moment as “great”. She also said the US president “surprised us by taking a photo of me, my staff and @JakeSullivan46”.
Reacting to the photos via X on Monday, the first lady of Ondo said she was surprised Okonjo-Iweala was able to turn Biden into a “photographer”.
Making reference to Okonjo-Iweala’s feat, Betty also admonished Nigerian parents to ensure their daughters go to school, adding that “female education is not waste”.
“Come and see Naija wonder: Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala turning US President to a photographer,” she wrote.
“If you like, don’t go and pay your daughter’s school fees. Nigerians can you see that female education is not a waste?! Women can be more!”

Okonjo-Iweala was the first woman to serve two terms as Nigeria’s finance minister. She was also the minister for foreign affairs from June to August 2006.
Okonjo-Iweala has been serving as the director general of the WTO since March 2021.
The 69-year-old economist is also the first woman and first African to lead the WTO as director general.
