Busola Tejumola, MultiChoice Nigeria’s executive head of content and West Africa Channels, broke the news during a two-day Africa Magic content marketplace in Kano.

Tejumola said the initiative will provide an opportunity for northern Nigeria to tell its stories.

“Africa Magic, the MultiChoice-owned movie and general entertainment channel group dedicated to telling African stories, is considering making a biopic of Mrs. Aisha Buhari, the wife of President Muhammadu Buhari,” he said.

“Africa Magic is committed to supporting producers to tell authentic stories by providing the platform and training support.”

Aisha Buhari won’t be the first political figure to get a biopic if the project pulls through.

Earlier, it became public knowledge that a biopic on Yahaya Bello, Kogi governor, will debut in December.

Seun Oloketuyi, the producer of the movie touted as an analysis of the governor’s life, had said it will feature Ali Nuhu as Bello and Roseanne Chikwendu as Rashidat, the governor’s wife.
