Nonso Bassey, the Nigerian actor, has put out his debut album titled ‘Diary of a Lover Boy’.
The music project was released on streaming platforms on Friday.
The 11-track album borders on a love affair gone awry, blending the rich musical tapestries of different genres.
The songs in the body of work include ‘Romance’, ‘Nkese’, ‘Answer Me’, ‘Loyalty’, ‘Untitled (Make You Feel)’, and ‘Recipe’.
Others are ‘Toyo’, ‘Interlude’, ‘Waited For You’, ‘Let It Go’ and ‘Bad Effect’.
Ahead of the album’s release, hosted an exclusive listening event on December 10 at Rango Lounge in Lagos.
The singer’s close friends, family, and industry colleagues were among the attendees.
Entertainers present at the event include Rita Dominic, Kate Henshaw, Ruth Kadiri, and Ini Dima Okojie, among others.
The singer, who goes by the stage name Nonzo, treated the audience to a live performance of tracks from the album.
Born Chukwunonso Anozuma Bassey, he was among the top eight finalists in the maiden edition of ‘The Voice Nigeria’.
Nonso Bassey was later signed to Universal Music Group Nigeria.
He released ‘Toyo’, his debut single, in August 2022.
Beyond music, Nonso Bassey is also an actor.
Among the films he has starred in are ‘Love Like This’ (2017), ‘From Lagos with Love’ (2018), ‘Wurukum Roundabout’ (2019), ‘Berserk’ (2020), ‘Tainted Canvas’ (2020), and ‘La Femme Anjola’ (2021).
