DJ Olu was last week found dead in a BMW parked in an underground garage in Banana Island, Lagos. He was buried on Thursday.

The disc jockey was the boyfriend of Kola-Daisi’s sister, Ajibola.

In an Instagram post on Sunday, Kola-Daisi spoke glowingly of the times they spent together.

She wrote: “My brother, my friend, my Children’s favorite uncle, and of course my twin sisters best friend, lover and favorite person in the world.

“The angel that you were the blessing that you were – no one had a clue. Not even me.

“Gbems I knew you were special but I did not know you were an ANGEL. I knew you were a lover of people but I didn’t know how much people loved you.

“I knew you were kind but I didn’t realize how many lives you had touched. I knew you were friendly but I didn’t realize how many friends you made.

“I knew you were generous but I didn’t know how many lives you had impacted. I knew you had some spinning skills but didn’t realize you were a star and an inspiration to many.

“Gbemiga I miss you soooo much and I can’t believe how much you made me cry. You were meant to come over before 7pm on Friday! Why I was still looking for you at 1am – at the time I didn’t know? But now I do. It was a sign.

“From the bottom of my heart I am so honored to have being graced with your life changing presence in my life and in the lives of my kids and my entire family. You were a part of us. We love you like our own.

“You were a perfect fit. You were so passionate and so emotional. Thank you for confiding in me and calling me to calm your emotions.

“I am so thankful to God for all the memories we shared… I am thankful for all the millions of pictures and videos you and AJ made together (am about to get rich off y’alls videos.. lol) Thank you for the love you showed my entire family, I am so grateful. For the love you showed AJ – wow! I thank you.

“Thank you for bringing us soooooo much Joy and making us laugh so hard . . .

“Gbemiga – You came, you blessed, you loved, and you impacted. You will never ever be forgotten. God has lifted you up to heaven.”
