Nigerian investment coach Stephen Akintayo has announced the launch of ‘Real Estate Mogul,’ a pioneering reality television show focused on property investment and business acumen.
Announced at a press conference on Wednesday, the show is positioned as a direct counter to conventional reality formats, which Akintayo noted are often criticised for a lack of depth.
The show is designed to give contestants hands-on, practical experience in the real estate sector. Participants will gain exposure to land transactions, shortlet properties, and joint ventures, offering viewers a rare look at the industry’s backend operations.
“There have been many reality TV shows, and the biggest so far is BBNaija, which some people criticise for lacking substance. Yet no one has come up with alternatives. So we decided to create a real estate reality TV show that will be the biggest in the history of Nigerian television,” Akintayo said.
“It is free to apply, but you must have a real estate certification. I have a real estate course that used to cost $2,000, but it is now free in commemoration of my birthday. People can take the course, get certified, and then apply for the reality show.
“It is an opportunity for participants to gain real-world experience in buying and selling land, shortlet real estate, and joint ventures. It will help people see the backend of the real estate industry.”
The incentives for contestants are substantial. The winner will receive a grand prize package including a N100 million cash prize, a brand new SUV car, a N1 billion joint venture land partnership, and a one-year apprenticeship as CEO under Akintayo’s direct mentorship.
The package also includes international business trips to provide global exposure and networking opportunities.
20 contestants from different regions in Nigeria will be part of the 13-week show, which will kick off on January 24, 2026. Audition is expected to begin in December.

Akintayo also announced through his company, Gtext Holdings, the launch of 1,000 ultra-modern housing units within its ‘Jasper’ development.
The project, he said, aims to provide quality and sustainable housing, with an exclusive pre-launch sale of 50 units already underway. He revealed that 12 units have been sold, with full development commencing in January 2026.
Akintayo also highlighted the expansion of his mentorship drive via the Billionaire Habits Conference. The platform is designed to equip aspiring entrepreneurs with the mindset for long-term success and will feature a lineup of high-profile speakers, including David Oyedepo, Adedotun Aremu Gbadebo III, former President Olusegun Obasanjo, Dave Burrows, Leo Stan Ekeh, Cosmas Maduka, Michael V Roberts, and Robert Frasier.
