Faith Adewale, the former BBNaija season 10 contestant, has opened up on why he didn’t feel bothered about his disqualification from the show.
On October 2, the medical doctor was disqualified from the reality TV show after a physical altercation with fellow contestant Sultana.
The altercation led to injuries, an incident the organisers described as a “clear violation of the house rules”.
In an interview with Punch Newspaper, the reality TV star said he was unbothered about his disqualification because he had already sensed it coming.
He explained that he had mentally checked out of the show and even packed his bags a week before leaving.
Faith added that he had enjoyed his time on the show but felt it was beginning to get “weird” so he was ready to move on.
“I didn’t feel anything about the disqualification. First off, I felt it coming. Secondly, I had already mentally checked out of the show,” he said.
“The week before, I had packed my bags and dropped them in front of the store because I was ready to leave. I had my time and fun, so I already concluded that, ‘Come on, this place is getting weird’.”
Faith further said he never felt optimistic about winning the show, adding that to him, true victory lies in using the platform to build something meaningful for oneself.
“Before I went into the house, I already had it in mind that you don’t have to win the show to be a winner. Winning, in the context of the show, isn’t about taking home the prize,” he added.
“Winning means building something for yourself from the platform. Everyone who participated in the show is a winner, they’re good people who will go on to do great things.”
