Mide, the former BBNaija season 10 housemate, has broken her silence on the “mean girls” label she and fellow contestant Dede acquired during their time in the house.
The entrepreneur, whose real name is Ayomide Iwasokun, was sent packing from the reality show last Sunday alongside Zita and Rooboy.
In a post-eviction interview, Mide attributed the perception largely to a misunderstanding of her natural facial expressions.
She admitted that her demeanor could sometimes send the wrong signal, especially under the taxing conditions of the house.
“I feel like it started from my facial expression when everyone was coming in. I feel like people are not understanding the process to this and we were so tired. Me personally, I was so tired and sometimes I just have a resting b***h face, I just look like that and give that off sometimes,” she said.
Mide, while acknowledging that her emotions could lead to reactions, however, denied having a malicious character. She also extended this defense to her friend Dede.
“But genuinely, I do not have a mean bone in my body. Like I can react when I am angry but that is where it ends, I do not have time to just be mean. Dede as well is not a mean person at all,” the reality star added.
So far, 19 out of the original 29 housemates have been voted out of the reality show.
Imisi, Koyin, Kola, Dede, Kaybobo, Sultana, Mandan, Jason Jae, Isabella and Faith all clinched their spots to the finale.
The remaining 10 contestants will slug it out to take home a staggering N150 million — the highest grand prize in the show’s history since its debut in 2006.
The season is expected to wrap up on October 5.
