Joanna, the former BBNaija season 10 housemate, has broken her silence on Victory’s confession that he developed romantic feelings for her during their time in the house.

The revelation was brought to light after Victory’s eviction. He explained to the show’s host Ebuka Obi-Uchendu that his connection with Joanna had deepened beyond friendship.

However, in her post-eviction interview, Joanna presented a different perspective. She clarified that from the very beginning, she viewed Victory strictly as a friend.

The reality star, born Josephine Iwoh, elaborated on her desire to avoid the typical romantic storylines in the house.

“It is so funny, that is him speaking for himself and I considered Victory my friend from the very beginning we started having conversations and I made it very clear that I do not want to be in… Because the moment you tell a girl in the house you like them, it becomes…,” she said.

“I was trying so hard to not be in that place, nobody said there was anything wrong with that but that was not what I wanted, I just wanted to have diverse friendships with different in the house.

“I think I made that clear enough but it is fine, that is him speaking about how he feels and he is very valid there is nothing wrong with that.”

So far, 19 housemates have been voted out of the reality show. The remaining 10 contestants will slug it out to take home a staggering N150 million — the highest grand prize in the show’s history since its debut in 2006.

The season is expected to wrap up on October 5.
