Bose Akinola, the Nigerian actress famous in the Yoruba film industry, has welcomed her grandchild on her birthday.

The elated movie star took to Instagram to break the news, posting photos of herself cradling the newborn.

In the caption, Akinola expressed that her child had welcomed the “little miracle” after “months of waiting, praying, and dreaming”.

“God gave me the sweetest birthday gift. Two hearts, one birthday. My heart just got a whole lot bigger,” she wrote.

“Blessed to welcome my beautiful grandbaby into the world after months of waiting, praying, and dreaming, our little miracle is finally here.

“Words can’t describe the love we feel holding this tiny blessing in our arms.Welcome to the world,our sweetest gift.”

While Akinola did not disclose the baby’s exact date of birth, gender, or name, the announcement was met with an outpouring of love.

Fans and colleagues from the industry have since flooded her comment section with congratulatory messages.

Akinola began her acting career in 1997 but rose to prominence after her role in ‘Idunnu Okan’.

She has  featured in several films including ‘Amope Ajabiiji’, ‘Anike Olokopupo’, ‘Aderonke Aladiagbon’, and ‘Arada Ekun’.

Beyond acting, she is also a producer and currently serves as the Oyo state governor of the Theatre Arts and Motion Pictures Practitioners Association of Nigeria (TAMPAN).
