Iyanya Mbuk, the Nigerian singer, has announced plans for a United States tour to accompany the release of his new album.

In a post via Instagram on Tuesday, the ‘Kukere’ hitmaker revealed that the new project will be released on September 12.

Iyanya said the tour, themed ‘IYANYA: The Forester’s Son Tour,’ will run from October through November across several American cities, including Brooklyn, Boston, Philadelphia, Atlanta, Detroit, Minneapolis, Denver, Houston, Dallas, Los Angeles, and North Carolina.

“Album arrives September 12, hit the road October & November, United States, here we come,” he wrote.

Born and raised in Calabar, Iyanya rose to fame after winning the first season of Project Fame West Africa. He released his debut album ‘My Story’ in 2009.

In 2021, the singer co-founded the record label Made Men Music Group (MMMG) with Ubi Franklin, the music executive.

In 2016, Iyanya left MMMG after an altercation with Franklin. They, however, reunited in 2021.

The singer has released other albums such as ‘Desire’ (2013), and ‘Once Upon a Cat’ (2024).

He has established himself as a household name in the Nigerian music industry with several awards and recognition.

In March, Iyanya was unveiled as one of the judges for the 10th edition of Nigerian Idol.
