Dean Cain, the American actor famous for his role as Superman in the 1990s TV series ‘Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman’, says he has joined US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).
In a recent Instagram video, Cain revealed his new role, explaining that he felt compelled to take action rather than just speak about national security.
“For those who don’t know, I’m a sworn law enforcement officer as well as a filmmaker,” he said.
“I felt it was important to join our first responders to help secure the safety of all Americans, not just talk about it, so I stepped up.”
Cain praised ICE’s efforts under the Donald Trump administration, citing the agency’s success in arresting criminals, including terrorists, human traffickers, and drug dealers.
He also encouraged others to consider joining, highlighting the career’s benefits and sense of duty.
“Here is your opportunity to join ICE and receive lots of benefits. Since President Trump took off, ICE has arrested hundreds of criminals, including terrorists, rapists, and drug traffickers,” he added.
“So, you can defend your homeland and still enjoy great benefits.”

The announcement comes as ICE seeks to expand its workforce, with plans to hire 10,000 additional officers to strengthen deportation operations nationwide.
The agency has also removed age restrictions, allowing applicants over 40 to join its ranks. To attract new recruits, ICE is offering signing bonuses of up to $50,000.
Before his acting career, Cain was a professional football player but shifted to Hollywood after a knee injury ended his athletic aspirations.
Beyond his iconic Superman role, he has appeared in numerous films and TV shows, maintaining a prominent presence in entertainment.
