Ahmed Yusuf, the popular TikToker and forex trader better known as Ahmed XM, has cautioned critics against harassing his new wife Safeerah Abba Mukhtar over his separation from Safiya Umar, his first wife.
Ahmed tied the knot with Safiya in 2024, and the union is blessed with a daughter.
Earlier this year, the forex trader, who has over two million TikTok followers, married Safeerah, a former partner with whom he had reportedly parted ways in 2023 due to family objections.
The second marriage has since stirred criticism on social media, with many accusing Ahmed of disrespecting Safiya.
In a statement shared via his Instagram story on Tuesday, Ahmed expressed disappointment over the level of misinformation and online attacks.
He warned that legal action may be taken if the cyberbullying continues.
“Over the past few days, I have watched with deep sadness as my name, my wife’s name, and my family have been dragged through the mud online,” the statement reads.
“What started as personal news about my separation from my former wife has now turned into a full-blown campaign of hate, cyberbullying, and misinformation directed not just at me, but especially at my wife, Safeerah Abba Mukhtar.”

Ahmed said his current wife had no role in the breakdown of his previous marriage, adding that their issues should not become material for public shaming.
He revealed that the situation has taken “an emotional toll on everyone involved” and pleaded with the public to allow them space to move on peacefully.
“To be clear, Safeerah had absolutely nothing to do with the end of my previous marriage. That chapter ended for reasons known only to the people involved,” he wrote.
“It hurts deeply to see someone I love being falsely accused, insulted, and dehumanized over a situation she did not cause. These past few days have taken an emotional toll on everyone involved.
“My ex-wife, my current wife, and our families. We are all human beings with feelings, not headlines for gossip or hashtags for trend.
“I’m speaking up now not to fuel the noise but to ask for peace. Please, I’m asking everyone to kindly stop with the insults, with the assumptions and with the bullying.
”Everyone deserves their fundamental right to the dignity of human person, personal liberty, fair hearing, private and family life.
“Therefore, if this harassment, cyber stalking, cyber bullying, defamation, insults and the like continue, we will be left with no choice than to commence strict and strong legal actions against the perpetrators of these inhuman conducts.”
