President Bola Tinubu hosted a grand presidential dinner on Monday night to celebrate the Super Falcons’ triumphant victory at the 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON).
The event, held at Transcorp Hilton, featured electrifying performances from Nigeria’s music stars as the nation honoured its championship-winning team.
The celebratory dinner kicked off with Teni delivering a vibrant performance of her hit songs, setting the tone for the evening.
Dakolo followed with a soul-stirring rendition that moved the audience and celebrated national unity.
The night reached its peak when Flavor took the stage, getting the entire room, including the Super Falcons players, on their feet with his energetic performance and catalog of fan favorites.

The Super Falcons made history by staging a dramatic comeback in the WAFCON final, overcoming a two-goal deficit to defeat the host nation Morocco 3-2 at the Olympic Stadium in Rabat.
Esther Okoronkwo, Folashade Ijamilusi, and Jennifer Echegini were the goal-scoring heroines in Nigeria’s thrilling victory.
On Monday, Tinubu welcomed the team at the Presidential Villa in Abuja, where he conferred the national honour of the Officer of the Order of the Niger (OON) on each member of the team, including the technical staff.
The players were also promised the naira equivalent of $100,000, while the members of the technical staff will get $50,000.
Each player and official in the team will also be getting a three-bedroom apartment in the Renewed Hope Estate in the Federal Capital Territory.
