Kelechi Nwachukwu, the fast-rising Nigerian singer better known as Tenorboy, has come delivered the visuals for his recently released song ‘Oyi’.

The video, released on Friday, is a heartfelt message to life through cinematic storytelling and emotional depth.

It was shot with artistic precision and emotional nuance, featuring moody aesthetics, close-up shots, and the vibrant backdrop of urban Nigeria.

Speaking about the project, Tenorboy, 24, disclosed that ‘Oyi” is “rooted in real emotions” while describing the visuals as “my love letter”.

“This video is my love letter. Oyi is rooted in real emotions, and I wanted the visuals to reflect that. This is the side of me people don’t often get to see,” he said.

‘Oyi,’ a track off the singer’s upcoming eponymous EP titled ‘Tenorboy,’ blends rich Afrobeats rhythms with soulful lyrics, connecting with Gen Z audiences across Africa and beyond.

Tenorboy, who hails from Ojo in Lagos, started singing from the age of 12.

He started to gain fame in 2023 at the Dutch Dreams Records Artist Development Camp, where he delivered an exceptional performance.

He has collaborated with artistes like Mr. Tee and Joshua Baraka and continued to solidify his position as one of the country’s most exciting young acts.
