Mike Edwards, a former Big Brother Naija (BBNaija) housemate, and Perri Shakes Drayton, his wife, are expecting their second child.
In an post via Instagram, Drayton shared a photo of her baby bump while revealing the pregnancy comes nearly five years after trying for another child.
She recalled that they had attempted to conceive again during the period but suffered an ectopic pregnancy.
She expressed gratitude for the pregnancy, adding that their family feels blessed to be growing again.
“We’ve been keeping a secret as our family is extending…YES,” she wrote.
“We are pregnant!! Having @matthewoedwards almost 5 years ago and through lockdown was a very different experience with appointments and the social aspect.
“Of course we’ve tried again between that time and I unfortunately experienced an ectopic pregnancy.
“We feel very blessed to be able to experience this journey again and grow our little family. @aireyys ready for round 2?”

Edwards, who is the CEO of Aireyys, a lifestyle brand centered around fashion and cigars, tied the knot with the British track and field athlete in 2019.
The love birds welcomed their first child, a son named Matthew Olaoluwa Edwards, on August 26, 2020.
Drayton’s pregnancy announcement comes shortly after Maraji, the skit maker, revealed she is expecting her third child.
