Nigerian music star Davido on Wednesday marked his wife Chioma Adeleke’s 30th birthday in grand style.
The Grammy-nominated singer also surprised Chioma with a brand new Mercedes-Benz G-Wagon AMG G63 during a private celebration in Atlanta.
The luxury SUV, estimated to be worth around N450 million, was presented to an emotional Chioma at the birthday gathering attended by close friends and family.

Videos from the event showed Chioma breaking down in tears upon seeing her lavish gift, with Davido by her side as guests cheered the couple.

Although the party took place in the United States, it attracted social media reactions as videos surfaced showing guests spraying dollar bills — a practice recently targeted by Nigeria’s Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
The ceremony also comes a few days after the EFCC arrested socialite E-Money over allegations of naira abuse and spraying US dollars, an act that violates the Foreign Exchange Act.
Terry Apala, the singer, was also remanded at the Ikoyi correctional centre last month over alleged abuse of naira notes.
In March, Murja Ibrahim Kunya, a TikToker, was rearrested in Kano for allegedly abusing the naira.
In 2024, the EFCC intensified its crackdown on naira abuse, citing section 21 of the CBN Act.
Bobrisky, the social media celebrity, was arrested by the commission in Lagos on April 4, 2024, for defacing naira notes. The crossdresser was jailed on a six-count charge.
Cubana Chief Priest was also arraigned for a three-count charge over alleged naira abuse.
Born in Atlanta, Georgia, the singer holds dual citizenship, giving him unrestricted access to the United States.
Davido met Chioma while studying music at Babcock University. Their relationship came to light after he dedicated a song titled ‘Assurance’ to her in 2018.
The singer announced their engagement in September 2019. But their union temporarily hit the rocks in 2021 amid allegations that the singer was in another relationship.
The couple lost Ifeanyi, their first child together, on October 30, 2022.
However, in March 2023, the singer disclosed that he and Chioma had officially married.
The lovebirds welcomed twins in the United States in October 2023.
Davido and Chioma tied the knot traditionally in June 2024, while the white wedding will be held in Miami in August.
In November 2024, Davido disclosed that Chioma had been his girlfriend for 12 years.
