Omowunmi, the wife of late singer Mohbad, has expressed her outrage towards Feyisayo Ogedengbe, the auxiliary nurse who administered the fatal injection to her husband.
Mohbad died on September 12, 2023 after receiving an injection administered by Ogedengbe.
He was buried the following day. On September 21, 2023, his body was exhumed by police for an autopsy.
In an interview with Arise TV, Omowunmi said she cannot forgive Ogedengbe for her “nonchalant attitude” and “lack of remorse” despite admitting that Mohbad reacted to the injection.
She also vowed that if she sees Ogedengbe, “the only thing I will tell her is that she will experience everything she has done to me”.
“It was an injection that led to his death because he reacted to it. I don’t know if the injection was a mistake or she was sent because she has been acting nonchalant,” she said.
“Since the death of my husband, she has been clubbing, enjoying, and living her life, but I’m here. I’m here being held hostage; I can’t even live my life or move freely. Liam has not enjoyed the joy of childhood.
“I can’t forgive the nurse because she made me a widow at 24, and she has been acting like nothing happened.
“She admitted that it was the injection he reacted to. At the hospital, the doctor questioned her on what she had administered, and she mentioned it to the doctor.
“She will be at the inquest on March 14 so I want to hear what she will say. People are already saying they will coach her on what to say.
“… I really don’t know if the injection she gave my husband was a mistake, but if I see the nurse face to face, the only thing I will tell her is that she will experience everything she has done to me.”

Omowunmi revealed that Ogedengbe was called in to administer the injection because Mohbad’s personal nurse was unavailable at the time.
According to her, Spending, one of Mohbad’s friends, recommended Ogedengbe, claiming that she had been his personal nurse for three years.
“We used the nurse because my husband’s personal nurse was not available. So, one of his friends, called Spending, gave us the number of his nurse,” she said.
“He said the nurse has been his personal nurse for 3 years. He was not really sick; he just sustained an injury during a fight that made his hand swollen.
“So, I really do not know if the injection was a mistake or she was sent. I’m in doubt till this moment because she is not acting remorseful. She is acting like someone who has backing.”
In February, the magistrate court announced that Ogedengbe will be prosecuted for reckless and negligent acts contrary to Section 251 (e) of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2015.
