VeryDarkMan, the controversial activist, has addressed claims that Jeremiah Fufeyin, the founder of Christ Mercyland Deliverance Ministry in Warri, Delta, has withdrawn the N1 billion lawsuit against him.

Last week, VeryDarkMan claimed Fufeyin sued him for N1 billion for criticising his “miracle soap and water”. He said the cleric also served him with a restraining order for calling him out.

There were, however, reports on Sunday that Fufeyin had withdrawn the lawsuit against VeryDarkMan, saying “I have forgiven you”.

The reports also claimed the cleric advised VeryDarkMan to “learn from your mistakes and walk in righteousness from now on”.

In his reaction, the activist said he was unaware of the report, adding that “my lawyer would have contacted me if it was true”.

“I do not know how true this is. It is not on his official pages. It is not on his Facebook or Instagram pages. And also my lawyer has not contacted me,” he said.

VeryDarkMan said “even if this news is true” he would countersue Fufeyin with the same amount “because he has made me depressed and sad”.

“I will take the money to the home where people are living with disabilities. Maybe send their children to school. I will also use some of the money to build boreholes for communities that do not have them. I will not use one naira from it. All I wanted was to protect other Nigerians,” he added.

Fufeyin had in June revealed that his “miracle soap is government-approved”. The cleric said he also uses the soap, arguing that it has a registered number from the National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC).

He also unveiled products like water, perfumes, mustard seeds, and towels which he claimed solve spiritual problems.

“NAFDAC approved this soap. I am not the one that gave it the NAFDAC registration number. My own is to send the Word of God into it. I have used it and I succeeded with it,” Fufeyin said.
