Sulaimon Shekoni, the fast-rising Nigerian singer better known as Khaid, has made a comeback on social media following a health scare.
In April, Khaid was hospitalised amid reports that he was battling internal bleeding.
Adekunle Gold, the Nigerian singer, visited Khaid in hospital in May.
Gold was seen in viral footage interacting with Khaid who appeared to be recuperating.
On Wednesday, Khaid posted a photo of himself sitting on a red car on Instagram.
He shared another post on X, saying he survived what “many would face and die”. He also thanked God for life.
“Thank God for helping me overcome what many would face and die, Them no fit hold the Boy, We Rise Again.‼️,” he wrote.
He also shared a cryptic post which reads: “Y’all set moup but can never Shut me up. FYI, I’m Young Trump, I wish y’all long life so y’all can reap what you’ve sown accordingly.”
The tweet appeared to be a dig at people who he perceives have wronged him — although he did not mention names.
Khaid is signed under Neville Records, a music label owned by Sydney Talker, the skit-maker.
Since the release of his hit single ‘With You’ in 2022, the singer has continued to make a name for himself in the Nigerian music industry.
He was nominated in the ‘Rookie of The Year’ category at the 2023 Headies.
Last year, the music star recounted how he worked as an automobile repairer before he joined Neville Records.
He said his encounter with Sydney “felt like God had answered my prayer”.
