In an interview with Cool FM’s Road Show, the ‘Asiwaju’ hitmaker recalled that the incident happened at night, adding that “the car tumbled three times”.

Ruger said he was also grateful to God that he and his friends came out unharmed. He also said that was the last time he “drove in Lagos”.

“The last time I drove in Lagos I had an accident. It was at night, we were playing around when it happened and nobody actually knows about it,” he said.

“This is the first time I am talking about it. The car tumbled like three times but everyone was okay. This was last year by the way.”

Born Michael Adebayo, Ruger rose to prominence in 2021 after he signed a record deal with D’Prince’s Jonzing World Record, an affiliate of Don Jazzy’s Mavin Records.

In February, he confirmed his exit from Jonzing World Record and unveiled Blown Boy Entertainment, his record label.
