Nancy Isime, Rahama Sadau and Richard Ato Turkson have been unveiled as hosts for the 2023 edition of the Africa Movie Academy Awards (AMAA).
In a statement on Tuesday, Anih described the hosts for AMAA 2023 as “charismatic”.
“Get ready to be charmed, entertained, and dazzled on October 29, 2023! The stage is set for a night of cinematic excellence,” he said.
Speaking of the task, Isime, who is a TV presenter and actress, said she is “absolutely looking forward to hosting the AMAAs on October 29”.
“Hoping to see everyone there as it promises to be an unforgettable evening,” she added.
On her part, Sadau said, “I am super excited and cannot wait to host the 2023 AMAAs,” while Richard Ato Turkson said he is looking forward to hosting the continental film awards ceremony.
Jimmy Jean-Louis, the Haitian actor, has also been confirmed as one of the attendees for this year’s edition.
Other prominent figures that will be in attendance include Babajide Sanwo-Olu, governor of Lagos, and Toke Benson-Awoyinka, the state’s commissioner for tourism, arts and culture.
In September, AFA announced the nomination list for this year’s awards edition.
‘Anikulapo’, a film by Kunle Afolayan, Jade Osiberu’s ‘Gang of Lagos’, and ‘Mami Wata’ by Oge Abasi are among the projects that made most of the entries.
