Shallipopi, the Nigerian singer, has put out the visuals for his hit track ‘Obapluto’.
On Friday, the singer took to social media to announce the release of the music video.
‘Obapluto’ is a track off Shallipopi’s debut EP ‘Planet Pluto’, which was unveiled in July.
The song is a celebration of the singer’s pride in his heritage, as he croons about his own power and influence.
”Ma ghi gual’iwinna o re esagien, u ren mwen ah?, small body big engine, say (see an), small boy with big money,”the lyrics read.
The music video, which was directed by Kemz and Q-Xtra, showcases the beautiful culture of the Edo tribe.
It also features dancers adorned in magnificent ornaments and traditional outfits.
The visual narrative begins with a symbolic spaceship landing, representing Shallipopi’s persona as the ‘Pluto Presido’.
The video also spotlights Monday Edo, the ace Nigerian singer, who had called Shallipopi out for sampling his song in ‘Obapluto’.
Monday’s presence might symbolise a resolution to the previous dispute.
