Osas Ighodaro, the Nigerian actress, and Terrence J, the American TV personality, have been unveiled as hosts for the 16th Headies.
The hosts were announced on Wednesday via social media — ahead of the award event which will take place on September 3 at the Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre in Atlanta, Georgia.
“I have done a lot of big shows. There is a lot of red carpet, and I am excited about doing this,” said Terrence in a video.

This is the second time Ighodaro will be hosting the ceremony.
Last year, the actress anchored the event alongside Anthony Anderson, the American actor.
The organisers released the nomination list for this year’s award ceremony in June.
They also announced that the winner of this year’s ‘Rookie of the Year’ category will receive a fully furnished house.
Ighodaro gained fame after winning the Miss Black USA Pageant in 2010. She has since then made a name for herself in Nollywood.
The actress was also listed among Nollywood’s highest-grossing actors for 2018.
She has also received several awards and recognitions for her talent.
Terrence J, on the other hand, is best known for hosting BET’s 106 & Park.
He has appeared in several Hollywood movies including ‘Think Like a Man’, ‘The Perfect Match’, and ‘The Beach Bum’.
He is also the author of ‘The Wealth of My Mother’s Wisdom’.
