Maria Chike, the BBNaija season six housemate, has unveiled a talk show targeted at survivors of gender-based violence, and child and drug abuse.
In a statement on Saturday, the reality star said the talk show titled ‘Healing with Maria’ will help people share their stories and heal from past traumatic experiences.
Maria also said each episode of the talk show will feature a guest who has experienced any form of violence or abuse and has taken steps towards healing and recovery.
“Through candid interviews, guests share their stories of resilience and strength, and offer insights into the healing process,” the statement reads.
“Not only will the show feature expert advice and resources to help survivors on their journey to recovery, it is a timely addition to the media landscape, given the ongoing crisis of gender-based violence, child molestation, harassment and drug abuse.”
Speaking on the initiative, Maria said the show aims to raise awareness and inspire others to take action toward ending all forms of violence.
“I have seen firsthand the power of storytelling in helping survivors heal. I hope that this show will provide a platform for survivors to share their stories, and that it will inspire others to take action towards creating a safer, more just world for everyone,” she said.
The talk show, produced by Maria Chike Benjamin (MCB) entertainment, is scheduled to premiere on April 16.
