Another woman has died of injuries sustained in the stampede that broke out at the Asake concert in Brixton, London.

The Nigerian singer recently put together a show at the 4900-capacity Brixton O2 Academy where he performed his debut album.

The concert was, however, canceled mid-way after a crowd of thousands breached the doors in the stampede.

The incident left some of the concert-goers seriously injured, with at least eight of them hospitalised.

The stampede, According to BBC, claimed what has become its second victim on Monday.

The Metropolitan police were quoted as saying the latest victim is a 23-year-old woman named Gabrielle Hutchinson.

It was gathered that Hutchinson was working as one of the contracted security providers for the event that evening.

Hutchinson’s demise follows the death of Rebecca Ikumelo, the first victim aged 33, on Saturday.

The police said a third woman victim, aged 21, is still in critical condition.

“At this time, we have established that the three women who were critically injured, including Rebecca Ikumelo and Gabrielle Hutchinson who have tragically died, were all in the foyer of the building,” the police said.

The Met police said it is reviewing video footage, speaking to witnesses, and conducting forensic examinations to establish what transpired at the concert venue that led to the security breach and eventual stampede.

“[We are] working hard to establish exactly what happened on Thursday night”, and described the investigation as “large and complex,” it added.
