Teni Apata, the Nigerian singer, has released a new single titled ‘Trouble’.
The song, produced by Onaduga Yinka Reuben, was released on Friday.
The track, which came through with a video, shows the music star singing alone in a rather minimalist stage design.
‘Trouble’ was released through Colors Studios, a music platform that prides itself on being about the most distinctive new artistes and original sounds “in an increasingly fragmented and saturated scene.”
In ‘Trouble’, Teni pines after a lost lover who she looks to get back on good terms with.
*Let’s get started from where we left off/ Let’s get drunk forget we’re fucked up/ I want you to be/ I miss you from when we last saw/ Let’s get started from where we left off/ Let’s get drunk forget we’re fucked up/ I want you to be/ I miss you,” she sings.
Since her incursion into the music scene, Teni has continued to set herself apart with her style of music.
Teni released her debut single ‘Amen’ while signed to Shizzi’s Magic Fingers Records.
She left the record label and signed with Dr. Dolor Entertainment in 2017.
Teni started gaining prominence after releasing the single ‘Fargin’ in September 2017.
She finally had her big break after releasing hit singles such as ‘Askamaya’, ‘Case’, and ‘Uyo Meyo’ in 2018.
Teni has a couple of music projects to her name.
This includes ‘Billionaire’ (2019), ‘The Quarantine Playlist’ (2020), and ‘Wondaland’ (2021).
