Made Kuti, the fast-rising Afrobeat singer, has come through with a new song titled ‘No More Wars’ — ahead of his upcoming album.

The musician announced the release of the less than four-minute track on Friday.

Made’s new song draws from a deep well and understanding of insecurity, global wars and the Afrobeat storytelling tradition.

It also fuses soulful Afrobeat chords, horns and voices in creating a unique sound.

The song further preaches the need to embrace peace and re-awakening of true values during trying times.

Speaking on the project, Made said: “No More Wars is entirely about temper, control, and focus. It’s about experiences I’ve had that taught me to reflect intentionally before I react.

“The lyrics are inspired by my father’s consistency in following his path despite dealing with an overwhelming amount of harsh, untrue, and deliberately cruel people inside and outside of his circle.”

The project is coming after the success of ‘For‘e’ward’, his debut album, and ‘Legacy+’, his joint album with Femi Kuti, his father.

Made, who is grandson of Fela Kuti, the late music icon, has continued to pull the weight of fame in the global music landscape.

Last year, ‘Legacy+’, his collaborative work with his father, was nominated for the ‘Best Global Music Album’ category at 2022 edition of the Grammy Awards.
