BNXN, the Nigerian singer formerly called Buju, has come through with ‘Kenkele’, his new single.
The musician announced the release of the song featuring Wande Coal on Thursday — after weeks of teasing.
The new song is one of the tracks from BNXN’s forthcoming extended play (EP) titled ‘Bad Since ’97’.
BNXN, whose real name is Daniel Benson, also disclosed that the EP will be released in August.
The project’s actual reason date was however not specified.
In the less than four-minute song, the musicians croon about how they live on their own personal terms.
BNXN has continued to enjoy fame since his foray into the music landscape.
He was nominated for the ‘Rookie of the Year’ category at The Headies 2019.
In 2020, he won the City People Entertainment Awards for the ‘Revelation of the Year’ category.
A year later, the singer featured on the top-charting single ‘Feeling’ by Ladipoe and the song ‘Bling’ by Blaqbonez.
In August 2021, he was featured on the deluxe edition of Wizkid’s ‘Made In Lagos’ album alongside Justin Bieber.
His collaboration with Wizkid on ‘Mood’ earned him a number one spot on the UK Afrobeats singles chart.
In December, Wizkid debuted the ‘Made In Lagos (The Deluxe)’ short film, starring Buju.
