Burna Boy has scored his first UK Top 10 album, with ‘Love Damini’ hitting second place on the chart.

‘Love, Damini’ is Burna Boy’s long-awaited sixth album, which was released to critical acclaim on July 8.

As of Friday, ‘Love Damini’ was ranked at no 2 (week 1) in what has become Burna’s first UK top-10 project.

In the first place was ‘Harry’s House’ by Harry Styles which had been charting for eight weeks.

‘Love Damini’ is the follow up to Burna’s 2020’s album ‘Twice As Tall’ which peaked at number 11 on the UK charts.

The Official UK Charts Company (OCC) compiles various official record charts in a number of European territories.

It produces its charts by gathering and combining sales data from retailers through market researchers Kantar.

The chart claims to cover 99 percent of the singles market and 95 percent of the album market.

Born Damini Ogulu, Burna Boy started to gain fame after releasing ‘Like to Party’, the lead single from his debut album ‘L.I.F.E’ (2013).

In 2021, the singer set a record in Nigeria after his album ‘Twice As Tall’ won its category at the Grammys.

Burna Boy has established himself as a household name in the industry with several awards and recognitions.
