Simisola Ogunleye, the Nigerian singer and songwriter, has come through with a new single titled, ‘Naked Wire’.
The 34-year-old award-winning songstress announced the release of the song in the early hours of Friday.
The song, produced by P.Priime, is the first single off her forthcoming album titled, ‘To Be Honest’.
The less than three-minute track, which is addressed to a perceived lover, sees Simi talking about how she gets mesmerised by the presence of her partner.
The talented musician also raves about her lover with unabating adulation.
“You light my fire/A burning fire/And when you’re next to me/I know you feel my desire/You spark my wire/My naked wire/I’m drowning in the depth of my desire,” the lyrics read.
Simi started off her music career as a gospel singer, releasing ‘Ogaju,’ her debut studio album, in 2008.
She gained prominence in 2014 after putting out ‘Tiff’, a song that was nominated for The Headies 2015.
Simi signed a record deal with X3M Music in 2014 but left the label in 2019 following the expiration of her contract.
The singer thereafter launched her own record label Studio Brat.
Simi is currently married to Adekunle Gold, who happens to be a singer. The union is blessed with a child.
