There was mild drama at the Delta State Polytechnic, Ogwashi-Uku in Aniocha South LGA on Friday when the institution reportedly turned back some students and staff for indecent dressing.
Several of the students, particularly females said to be without bras and underwear, were turned back from the campus.
The development is said to be part of the institution’s ‘no bra, no entry’ policy aimed to tackle indecent institution.
In a now-viral video, some of the female students were seen decrying the directive, alleging that the management was turning the institution into a “nursery school.”
“Today is a rugged day. If you’re not wearing bra or pant, you cannot enter. This school don turn to nursery school ooo….them don disgrace us,” a student said.

In the video clip, another female student said they are being treated like ‘Deeper Life’ members.
Manfred Oyibogbeye, the institution’s assistance director of public relations, said the initiative is part of the varsity’s efforts to sensitise the students against indecent dressing.
“It is not a policy of no bra, no entry. The school is only carrying out sensitisation to discourage indecent dressing. Later, there will be a measure to sanction those that go against the rules,” he was quoted as saying.
