The American woman identified as Carol Mack has narrated how she found “true love” again after she parted ways with her husband of 40 years.
In a Twitter post, the lawyer and educator said she “kicked her husband out” at the age of 70 when she discovered he was cheating on her.
The rights activist added that she never thought she could get another man until she met her new lover.
In the post, Mack flaunted her engagement ring, while also expressing her excitement at finding love again.
She, however, did not disclose the identity of her new lover and how they met.
“Life is so strange. After nearly four decades of marriage, I never expected to be single again at 70. And I certainly didn’t expect to find true love at the age of 73 in the middle of a pandemic! And now this,” she wrote.

The tweet has been liked nearly one million times amid congratulatory messages from Twitter users.
In a follow-up post, the nurse said she has “never looked back” since she ditched her first marriage.
“I didn’t really lose my husband. I kicked him out when I found out he had another woman on the side. And I’ve never looked back,” she added.
Reflecting on her views about marriage, particularly arranged relationships, she said: “I am actually a believer in arranged marriages! Parents know their children best, and they don’t leave the choice up to raging hormones.
“Also, I believe that common values and good faith can create a happy marriage. At my age, though, I was on my own!”
In October last year, Erumena, the sister to Fred Amate, had tied the knot at 64.
Fred had also revealed how Erumena was ridiculed and tormented in the past because she couldn’t get married.
