Patience Ozokwo, the Nollywood actress, has taken to social media to celebrate Chioma, her look-alike daughter, on the occasion of her birthday.
In an Instagram post on Friday, the actress penned a touching note to Chioma, whom she described as “my blessing from God.”
Ozokwo, fondly called Mama G, also shared several beautiful photos of her daughter to mark the occasion.
The film star said she is grateful to have Chioma as a daughter and enjoined her to continue to be “a wonder.”
“Chiom Chiom, Nneude Nwaokwor, Oyiri nne nye, Omauma asa ahu. My blessing from God. I am grateful to God for you. It’s an honour to be your mother,” she wrote in a mixture of English and Igbo.
“Happy birthday to you my darling. I have prayed my prayers for you in secret. God will answer us in the public. Continue to be a wonder my dear. Love you my baby.”
Patience kickstarted her acting career while in secondary school but rose to prominence in 1998.
She has since become a household name in the Nigerian movie industry and has won several awards.
In October, the actress called out those complaining about her look, saying she is not afraid to get old.
“When did old age stop being a blessing? People do all manner of stuff to cover up aging – good for them! I own my age and experience with my full chest and count it an enormous blessing,” she had said.
“Comments like: ‘she now looks so old, she don old suddenly, she don old finish, ahaa mama what happened’ make me smile. Aging is not unattractive or undesirable.”
