A video has surfaced online showing guests at a wedding reception being served soaked garri.
Since time immemorial, many Nigerian households have consumed garri, a granular flour made from cassava.
Due to its affordability, serving it soaked in water and groundnut is regarded as the last resort for poor households.
In the undated video that surfaced via Twitter on Friday, guests of the yet-to-be-identified wedding could be seen feasting on the soaked garri and groundnut.
With soft drinks, bottled water, and a side dish that appeared to be fish, the guests could also be seen dancing to the background music.
