Fireboy, the Nigerian afro-pop singer, has put out a visualiser for ‘Peru’, his latest single ahead of his highly anticipated new album.
The 26-year-old singer announced the release of the visualiser on his social media pages on Friday.
In the video, the ‘Champion’ singer is seen exploring various adventurous lifestyles which include sky diving, riding a scooter, and enjoying some holiday cuisines, while dancing to the mid-tempo sound.
The less than 3-minute track, which is produced by Shizzi, is Fireboy’s first single of the year, and it comes after the release of the visuals to ‘Lifestyle’ a track off ‘Apollo’, his second studio album.
Hours after its release, the single garnered thousands of traction on streaming platforms across the world.
It also became the subject of discussion in the Nigerian music community on Twitter.
Fireboy has continued to pull the strings since he joined YBNL, a record label owned by Olamide, Nigerian rapper, in 2018.
He made the headlines in February after winning five awards — including the ‘Best R&B Single’, ‘Best R&B Album’, ‘Headies revelation’, ‘Album of The Year,’ and ‘Best Pop Album’ categories — at the 14th Headies.
