Liya, the first female artist signed to Davido Music Worldwide (DMW), has released ‘Melo’, her first official single — since joining the record label in October.
The newly signed singer took to her social media pages on Tuesday to announce the release of the audio and visuals for the new project, alongside a link where it can be accessed.
“Out now, Link in my Bio. I wanna thank God for this great opportunity. Thank you boss. Y’all kindly listen to Melo by Liya produced by Zaki magic, beautiful video shot by Dammytwitch, mixed and mastered by mystroofficial,” she wrote on Instagram.
The less than three-minute project sees the singer adorned as a queen while dishing out lyrics in Yoruba and English language.
“Dancing makes your body come alive. I got the vibe I’ll make you lose your mind. Dancing makes your body come alive, I got the song, i’ll make you come on high,” she could be heard singing.
On October 6, Davido had in a post on his Instagram page, announced the signing of Liya to his record label. He had also described her as ‘DMW’s first lady’.
“Welcome officially to the party. DMW 1st lady. Liya from here it’s onwards and upwards. On this day I make this promise to you. Imma make you a global star,” he had written.
