Joke Silva, a veteran Nollywood actress, has joined the bandwagon of prominent celebrities showering their husbands with praises on the occasion of Father’s Day.
The film director, 58, took to her Instagram page on Sunday to eulogise Olu Jacobs, a film executive, who has earned global acclaim for his works over the years, describing him as a “wealth of wisdom.”
“Father of my children, I celebrate you. You were a wonderful, present father when they were kids. You’re a wealth of wisdom now that they are young men. God continue to honor you,” she wrote.

The internet had some days ago been inundated with rumours that Jacobs had passed on, but the speculations were dismissed by the Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN).
“This is to inform the general public that our legendary actor, Olu Jacobs is alive, very hale, and hearty. Disregard the malicious rumor about his death making rounds,” the AGN had said.
“The National President of the Actors Guild of Nigeria is in touch with the family. We use this medium to warn mischief makers and enemies of our industry to desist from this wickedness.”
The development came days after Silva was appointed chairman of Lagos’ pandemic review committee to make recommendations on rejuvenating the state’s economy, particularly with regard to the showbiz.
