Toyin Saraki, the wife of Bukola Saraki, former senate president, says Queen Elizabeth II had greatly inspired her when they met many years ago.
The healthcare philanthropist took to her Twitter on Tuesday to celebrate the British monarch on her 94th birthday, while sharing an old picture of herself alongside the queen and other notable individuals.
According to her, the queen’s dignity and dedication to duty have since continued to rub off on her (Saraki’s) own values.
“Very happy 94th birthday to Her Majesty. I was inspired when I met her years ago, and have continued to be encouraged and enchanted with her dignity and dedication to duty,” she wrote.

Queen Elizabeth II had celebrated her birthday on Tuesday without the routine traditional gun salute owing to the ongoing global health crisis due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
She had marked the occasion alongside, Prince Philip, her 98-year-old husband, at Windsor Castle in West London, while Britons took to social media platforms to share good wishes.
The duo, whose age puts them at high risk in terms of the disease’s severity among the older population, had observed the government’s lockdown orders while maintaining social distance.
