It also witnessed the presence of award-winning actors, stakeholders in the ‘Star Wars’ franchise and other notable showbiz personalities.

Boyega, who played the renaissance hero ‘Finn’ in the movie, appeared positively regal as he dressed in a traditional West African attire marked for its striking shade of blue.

The gifted actor was born to Nigerian parents on March 17, 1992 in London. He visited his home country on two occasions in 2018.

Produced by J. J. Abrams, ‘The Rise of Skywalker’ follows its prequels ‘The Force Awakens’, released in 2015, and ‘The Last Jedi’, which debuted in 2017.

It is hinged on the events that transpired a year after ‘The Last Jedi’, where remnants of the Resistance engage the First Order in a renewed face-off.

Reckoning with the past and their own inner turmoil, the ancient conflict between the Jedi and the Sith reaches its climax, bringing the Skywalker saga to a definitive end.
