Jack Dorsey, co-founder and CEO of Twitter, microblogging giant, has shared a post of himself listening to ‘49-99,’ a single by Tiwa Savage, Nigerian Afrobeats vocalist.
The American computer programmer took to his own handle on Saturday to inform his followers that he was enjoying the song via Spotify.
Dorsey arrived the country on Thursday after he had earlier announced plans to visit four African nations — Ethiopia, Ghana, Nigeria, and South Africa — in November.
The visit, which according to him, was “to spend a lot of time with entrepreneurs”, has seen him savouring the continent’s beautiful cultural heritage.
TheCable Lifestyle had earlier reported a video of Dorsey speaking Yoruba —one of Nigeria’s major languages.
In the now-viral video, he had muttered “Bawo ni, Nigeria?” which means “how are you all doing, Nigeria?.”
In what seemed to be an extension of his admiration for the country’s culture and music, Dorsey shared a Spotify link of of Tiwa’s song and indicated he was listening to it.

Shortly after his post, the award-winning singer replied Dorsey, apparently showing her appreciation for the Twitter co-founder’s gesture.
