All things being equal, Davido will be a guest artiste on the debut solo album of Quavo, a member of American hip hop group, Migos.
The Nigerian Afrobeats singer and the American rapper met briefly in Atlanta, US, in 2017.
After the video of their interaction surfaced on the internet, speculations rose that the pair may collaborate.
The speculations are inches away from being a reality as Quavo shared the “preseason cut” for his album on Tuesday.
In an Instagram post, the rapper shared a crumpled note containing the names of artistes who will feature on the album, adding that it is not the final cut.
Davido reposted the photo on Instagram with caption “who ready for that @quavohuncho album! Tell Billboard I’m coming”.
Drake, 21 Savage, Offset, Cardi B, Kid Cudi, Travis Scott, Lil Baby, Take-Off and Saweetie are some of the other artistes who Quavo listed.
When Davido won the 2018 BET award for best international act, he urged artistes in the diaspora to collaborate with their counterparts in Africa.
“And as I go on, I wanna talk about Africa. My continent has been so blessed to influence many cultures,” he said.
“Come to Africa, eat the food, wear the clothes. Get ready for me, let’s collaborate. My album drops this year. J. Cole. Yo Quay, I’m waiting on that verse Quay.”
