Davido says he will perform at the four Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) rallies ahead of the September 22 governorship election in Osun state.
The singer, real name David Adeleke, is from Osun and his uncle, Ademola Adeleke, is the flagbearer of the PDP in the upcoming election.
The senator representing Osun west defeated Akin Ogunbiyi in the PDP primary to clinch the ticket.
His superstar nephew on Tuesday said he will be “present in all PDP rallies” days before the election.
“My fellow Osun brothers and sisters, as most of you may know I am a native of Osun state,” Davido wrote on Instagram.
“Let’s take Osun to a new level. All the youth and indigenes of the state, rise and do what is right for our state and the people.”
The singer said he will perform at the rallies in Ede, Iwo, Ilesha and Osogbo, the state capital.
He urged attendees and PDP faithful to come with their permanent voter cards (PVCs) to the rallies.
Davido recently performed at the 2018 Made in America Festival.
The singer was the only Nigerian artiste on the line-up of the event which held in Philadelphia, US.
He performed on the same stage as international superstars such as Nicki Minaj, Post Malone, Meek Mill, Janelle Monae, Alessia Cara, Diplo, Zedd, Miguel, and Fat Joe.
