Will Smith, alongside Nicky Jam and Era Istrefi, will perform what is said to be the official song of the 2018 World Cup.
The three-person collaboration is being produced by Diplo and is set to be released on Friday.
According to VIBE, Smith is currently in Budapest with Nicky Jam where they are putting “final touches” to the anthem.
Nicky Jam and Smith have posted videos singing karaoke of the others’ songs. Smith even asked Nicky Jam to remix his son Jaden Smith’s hit song ‘Icon’.
Smith, 49, has not released an album since 2005’s ‘Lost and Found’.
The World Cup usually has several songs associated with it but the official anthem is usually the most high-profile and is performed at the finale.
Past anthems include Shakira’s ‘Waka Waka’ and Ricky Martin’s ‘The Cup of Life’.
In 2014, Pitbull and Jennifer Lopez teamed up to headline the official song for the World Cup in Brazil.
Jason Derulo’s ‘Colors’ is the official Coca-Cola anthem for the 2018 World Cup.
The tournament, taking place in Russia, kicks off June 14 and will end on July 15.
