Singer Praiz Adejo was reportedly arrested by operatives of the special anti-robbery squad (SARS) on Tuesday.
The X3M Music artiste was said to have been arrested by the police along Lekki-Epe expressway.
The singer’s mobile phone was reportedly confiscated when he attempted to make a recording at the Ajah police station.
Although he was later released the same day, Praiz took to Instagram to call for a reform and rant about the failings of government.
“Anyone that truly knows me well knows I am an easy going, non-problematic, happy and cooperative individual,” he wrote in part.
“Well, I’m not here to talk about myself. I am here to address issues that happen in our society every day.
“Today I had an encounter that a lot of people go through every day.
“People who are heading home after a failed interview, people going home after a night shift, people on their way to get their daily bread but get harassed by people who are the force because of reasons are best known to them or maybe because u are a young boy wearing a gold chain or have a beard.
“Though I won’t deny the existence of great people in the police force that are ready to listen, I still stand by my opinion which is popular amongst the youth and more #ENDSARS
“Today I learned that the police force needs deep reform and sensitization.”
A Twitter user, @bayuulivelife, claims that the artiste was arrested for exceeding the stipulated speed limit.
He tweeted: “On the reason for [the] @Praiz8 arrest, didn’t know there’s a known speed limit on the highway. Story no add up.”

Praiz promptly debunked the claims that he broke the law, saying, “I wasn’t driving neither was the driver driving fast either”.
