Artificial Intelligence system, MogIA, which uses data analysis from Google, Twitter, and Facebook, predicts that Donald Trump will win the United States presidential election.
The result is that Trump has overtaken the social media engagement numbers of Barack Obama‘s peak in 2008 by 25 percent. That was the year he was elected President.
Sanjiv Rai, the founder of Indian start-up Genic.ai., is the mind behind the development of the system.
MogIA is based on Mowgli, the child from Rudyard Kipling’s novel “The Jungle Book.” Rai said this is because his AI model learns from the environment.
The AI system was created in 2004 and has correctly predicted the results of the Democrat and Republican primaries.
“If Trump loses, it will defy the data trend for the first time in the last 12 years since internet engagement began in full earnest,” Rai said.
According to Refinery29, Unanimous A.I., which has correctly predicted winners from events like the Oscars and the Kentucky Derby, came to a different conclusion in June.
Its AI uses something called “Swarm Intelligence,” a measure of a randomly selected group of people, to conclude who will come out on top.
It predicted that Hillary Clinton would win the election.
