Curtis Jackson, US rapper better known as 50 Cent, attracted the attention of Nigerians after using a hilarious clip of Osita Iheme, Nollywood actor, to threaten his debtors.
The 43-year-old ‘Candy Shop’ crooner made an analogy of himself calculating how much he’s looking to retrieve from his debtors — all of whom he said are “wasting” his time.
In the short Nollywood clip, which readily evokes laughter, Iheme, better known as Pawpaw, is seen chewing and counting aloud while computing his finances with a calculator tightly in his grip.
“Me calculating how much everyone owes me for wasting my time. You f**ls been wasting my time for long. Now, have my money by Monday,” he wrote.
In the caption, the rapper also mentioned brands including the recently launched Branson Congnac; Le Chemin Du Roi, his champaigne brand launched in late 2018; Bellator; and Starzplay.

What appears to have intrigued Nigerian fans of the rapper, is his familiarity with comic Nollywood movies that many had initially thought never gained grounds beyond the confines of Africa.
Here is what some Nigerians had to say:
The guy do finish, even 50 Cent – @50cent recognized the iconic talented meme.

Ose Oyamendan, film maker and founder of the Nollywood in Hollywood Initiative, had marveled at the rate with which the Nigerian film industry is gaining global acceptance.
“I’ve been to places in the Caribbean where you walk past houses and people are watching Nollywood films. Even in Brazil, they are so into Nollywood films because that’s how they know where their families came from,” he had said.
“Filmmaking in Africa is exploding and Nollywood, in terms of popularity, is leading the charge.”
