‘Power’, the hit television show produced by Curtis ’50 Cent’ Jackson, has been renewed for a sixth season.
Carmi Zlotnik, Starz president of programming, confirmed the renewal of the show.
“As Power wraps production on season five, we want to acknowledge and thank our spectacular Power team for producing another great season,” he said.
“We are also pleased to announce a pickup for season six.”
Since its first season, the show which airs on Starz has enjoyed critical and commercial success.
The critically-acclaimed fourth season of ‘Power’ averaged 9.3 million multiplatform viewers per episode.
The show, which stars Omari Hardwick, Joseph Sikora, Rotimi Akinosho, Lela Loren and 50 Cent, was crated by Courtney Kemp.
Power is the most-watched show for Starz and is also the third most-watched scripted series on premium cable.
Season five of the American crime drama-thriller will premiere on July 1.
Asides starring prominently in the series, 50 Cent will also serve as director of the first episode of the sixth season.
