Produced by Joy Efe Odiete, the film stars popular figures like Charly Boy, the singer; Josh Alfred (Josh2funny), the internet comedian; and Jide Kene Achufusi (Swanky JKA), the actor.

The film highlights the struggles, dreams, and drive of downtown existence.

It captures the lives of two friends, Josiah and Joseph, whose encounter with Diokpa, a ruthless criminal kingpin at a local hotel, would set them up for a life of luxury and misery as their rat race for survival unfolds.

Speaking on the project, Emelonye said: “Great films are characterised by technical depth, memorable dialogues, enduring lessons, and limitless fun.

“‘Money Miss Road’ combines all these values which have been designed to offer a remarkable cinema experience.”

On her part, Odiete, the producer, described the film as a way of telling people to loosen up in a world dogged by wars, terrorism, and strange viruses.

“We have had so many unpleasant stories, ranging from COVID-19 to terrorism, wars, and inflation, but there must come a time when we have to loosen up,” she said.

“We have to live, love, learn and laugh and I think that is the gap ‘Money Miss Road’ has come to fill.”
