Short film ‘Still Water Runs Deep’ to premiere at TIFF

Still Water Runs Deep, a short film starring Toyin Oshinaike, Rita Edward and Yemi Adebiyi, will premiere at the 2017 Toronto International Film Festival.

SWRD was written and directed by Abbesi Akhamie, who also co-produced it alongside Melissa Adeyemo and Kemi Lala Akindoju.

The film is the story of a father who must withstand his emotions and preserve his pride when his estranged son goes missing.

It speaks to the difficulty that honest, hardworking men face when trying to raise children in the harsh realities of the world
